John G. Gallien – Owner / Lead Instructor
The Carolina Aeronautical staff is headed by Mr. John G. Gallien, FAA Testing Designee, FAA A&P, FCC Electronic/Comm, Avionics and F.O.License holder and Certified Instructor). John has been in the aircraft maintenance business for approximately 42 years, eight of which were spent learning and perfecting his skills in the USMC’s aviation fleet working on various fixed wing aircraft and rotary wing helicopters.
After completing his tours of service, Mr. Gallien was hired by Northwest Airlines and then the Lockheed- Martin Aircraft Company as an all systems A&P technician and has worked on over 12 types of aircraft, including both civilian & military platforms. While at Lockheed-Martin, John rose from the entry level ranks to his final positions as Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor and Associate Maintenance Manager for Flight Line Operations.
John Gallien has been instructing the Aviation and Electronics/Communications courses for approximately 24 years and has helped to Federally Certify and License well over a thousand technicians that were enrolled in their respective courses. Even before his tenure at Carolina Aeronautical Mr. Gallien served as an O.J.T. instructor while serving in the U.S. Military and at the Lockheed- Martin Aircraft Center, educating and training the junior mechanics on how to become better technicians and mechanics.
